Detailed Specifications

Simplify management of multiple subscriber devices and increase network usage.

Complexity of Multiple Devices
Subscribers increasingly depend on multiple mobile devices to meet their daily communication needs. Inconvenient switching of SIM cards between devices means missed calls, voice mails, SMS and data transmissions for the subscriber and lost revenues for the operator. On the other hand, a separate subscription for each device means too many numbers and creates a billing headache for both subscriber and operator.

One Identity, One Bill, Multiple Devices
The Opencode Multi-SIM system provides subscribers with a single mobile phone number for all different handsets and devices and aggregates all charging events under a single phone bill.

The solution is deployed in the core mobile network and allows 2 (or more) SIM cards (devices) to be visible under one main (public) MSISDN number. The public MSISDN number is used for all MTC and MOC calls as well as for SMS, MMS and GPRS communications to and from the SIM cards.

Simplifying usage of Multiple Devices
Simultaneous use (or not) of voice service can be enabled or disabled between devices. Similarly, while one SIM card is in voice communication another SIM card can be simultaneously used for data transfers using, for example, a laptop and data card.

A Multi-ring feature allows all active devices to ring when receiving a call.

Device Nomination and Dedication
Device nomination allows users to designate on which device they wish to receive voice calls, SMS or data. Subscribers can also dedicate devices based on time periods. For example, all voice calls can be dedicated to a certain mobile phone on the weekends. Devices can even be prioritized to ring or receive SMS in a certain order.

Easy access to Multi-SIM Self-care and Provisioning
USSD, SMS, STK, Web GUI or WAP interfaces can be used by subscribers to make device nomination and dedication and allow them to simply manage their Multi-SIM service from any device and from anywhere.
